Sandra is the new head of the Paoli clan. She takes the opportunity to repatriate her mother, a mute who had been placed in psychiatric care for many years. Zamponi, a new clan member puts forward a crazy and ambitious plan to Sandra and Jean-Michel: the theft of Empress Josephine'’s jewels, one of the island's most prized treasures. The plot is extremely dangerous, perhaps impossible. But the thrill of the game is what stimulates Sandra and her brother. To commit the robbery they hire Rémi Andreani, a notorious young and ferociously violent hoodlum. Meanwhile, Gio Sperandei, who had rebuked Sandra’'s new position as head of the clan, has just been murdered, a coincidence that does fail to grab the attention of Commissioner Rocca.
