This is a touching look at the friendship of four men: Alex (Marc Lavoine – L’Enfer), Antoine (Bernard Campan – 3 brothers), Jeff (Gérard Darmon – La Cité de la peur) and Manu (Jean-Pierre Darroussin – Un air de famille). 25 years after their friendship was forged playing for their school football team, each one has attained their professional goals but on a personal level much remains to be resolved. One spring, life-changing events, such as the death of a father, an infidelity and a daughter’s wedding, bring them closer together. The film paints an honest portrait of the friendship between men and their relationships with women, without playing the stereotypical ‘macho’ card. Marc Esposito’s well-crafted characters, insightful screenplay and ear for convincing dialogue led to the film’s universal success in France, spawning a sequel and with a third part due for release this year.
