Hypnotized and Hysterical

Marianne (Amira Casar) engages in an affair with a lecherous art dealer but desires true love. Elodie (Olivia Bonamy) is a working-class single mother struggling to hold down a job so that she can regain custody of her daughter. And Natacha (Marina Fois) is a carefree hairdresser with an alcohol addiction who resolves to find sobriety…. and her cat. In this light hearted comedy debut by Claude Duty, whose credits include an impressive array of shorts, the friendship of three women is studied in a blend of comedy drama and the occasional musical sequence (think François Ozon’s 8 women).
