This week on ‘In the House’, we have two veritable leading males, Harrison Ford and Jeff Bridges. Hollywood icon Harrison Ford talks about the newest addition to his 35 year body of work, the real-life medical drama Extraordinary Measures. Ford takes a cerebral role as he portrays Dr. Robert Stonehill, an irritable biochemist working on a potential cure for Pompe’s disease (a rare form of muscular dystrophy) and is the last hope for the Crowley couple desperate to find a cure to save their infected children. A project clearly close to Ford’s heart resulted in his role as producer as well as actor. On the show, he talks about what drew him to the project as well as his passion for aviation. With four Oscar nominations under his belt, Jeff Bridges has been given another a chance for the elusive golden statue with his latest performance in Crazy Heart. Bridges plays an alcoholic ageing country singer who gains salvation with the help of journalist (Maggie Gyllenhaal, who has also been nominated for an Oscar for her performance) and her young son. In this interview, Jeff Bridges talks about the relationships with his illustrious acting family and great directors, as well as the art of preparing an award speech!
