Fidelity

Talented Canadian photographer Clélia (Sophie Marceau) prepares to join the tabloid agency of the sleazy press tycoon Mac Roi (Michel Subor). She meets and marries an older bumbling publisher, Clève (Pascal Greggory), whose company is being courted by Mac Roi, but is soon tempted by the advances of young photographer Nemo (Guillaume Canet). Inspired by the classic novel La Princesse de Clèves, maverick Polish filmmaker Andrzej Zulawski (former assistant to the great Andrzej Wajda and director of the lauded L’Important c’est d’aimer) directs a top-drawer cast in a searing tale of marital, moral and personal fidelity.
