Beautifully cool, Dobermann follows the charismatic criminal of the same name played by Vincent Cassel (Black Swan, La Haine), as he leads a gang of fierce robbers on an energetic and bloody trail. Accompanied by his deaf girlfriend Nat the Gypsy (the resplendent Monica Bellucci - Matrix Reloaded), the criminals carry out a complex bank robbery. A vicious hunt by the Paris police follows, led by Christini (Tchéky Karyo – Nikita, Kiss of the Dragon), the crazed cop determined to catch Dobermann by any means possible.

Assimilating some scenes of extreme violence and deranged performances akin with some of Tarantino’s best work, this wildly stylish film is a high-speed chase through the crime/action genre. Based on the ‘80s comic the characters successfully mimic comic book character dynamics with a tongue in cheek tone. Hectic and hip, fans of Natural Born Killers will not be disappointed, as France’s star couple, Cassel and Bellucci, blaze up the screen once again (L’Appartement, Irreversible, Secret Agents).
