We present a range of French comic twists, from commercial smashes, such as La Grande vadrouille, via farcical spoofs, of La Cité de la peur’s ilk, to witty ensemble pieces, à la Un air de famille.

Classics A nation home to the Golden Age of cinema and the groundbreaking New Wave movement, Cinémoi provides its audience a chance to revisit their favourite French films of yesteryear or unearth new and unique treasures, courtesy of Renoir, Carné, Truffaut et al.

Family Our Family genre offers a premium selection of films for the whole family, from comedies like Life is a Long Quiet River to adventure fantasies like Jacquou le Croquant. ‘Cinémoi Kids’ is set for launch in 2010, with animation films and ‘dessins animés’ on the menu for a channel that will cater to the tastes of the whole family!

Documentary

Documentary To compliment our feature programming, exclusive interviews produced by Cinémoi will provide insight into the movers and shakers of French cinema, alongside documentaries exploring subjects as diverse as cinema, culture, politics and history, all with a French edge.

Seasons

Seasons Cinémoi will programme an ongoing series of film seasons to focus on specific directors, actors, genres or themes. In any given season, a broad cross-section of films will be chosen in order to best reflect the creative output of an individual talent, a group of artists or a cinematic/cultural theme.
