The Woman Next Door

Bernard Coudray’s idyllic rural existence on the outskirts of Grenoble with his wife and young son is overturned by the arrival of new neighbours Philippe and Mathilde Bauchard. Many years earlier Bernard and Mathilde were lovers and they must now face the rekindled desire brought about by this chance reunion.

A powerful drama of the complexities of adult relationships, Truffaut brings together two of France’s greatest stars, Gérard Depardieu and Fanny Ardant, in a tour de force of screen acting.
