Now in his twenties, Antoine Doinel is discharged from the army and seeks a new beginning in Paris.  The travails of love, life and work await the inexperienced, young man.

The second full-length feature in the Antoine Doinel series, Stolen Kisses reunites Truffaut with his alter-ego Jean-Pierre Léaud. As the director himself admitted: “The fictional character of Antoine Doinel is a mixture of two real people, François Truffaut and Jean-Pierre Léaud”.

The film also introduces Christine (Claude Jade) into Antoine’s life, but it is arguably stolen by star turns from Michael Lonsdale and Delphine Seyrig.
