As he watches a few extracts, Kieslowski explains, frame by frame, the way Blue, Red and White has been made, shot and edited. The titles, and the themes of the films, come from the three colors of the French flag representing liberty, equality and fraternity. This documentary illustrates the uniqueness of Kiesolwski and his creations for France’s bicentennial.
